Sign in to your inverter or battery manufacturer – SolarEdge, SMA, Huawei, Fronius, Enphase and many more – and see production, consumption and battery at a glance. Local devices in your home network are found automatically.

SolarDashboard calculates from the weather forecast how much your system will produce today, tomorrow and in the next seven days – hour by hour, based on the peak power of your plant.

Plan the washing machine, dishwasher or the next charge for the sunniest hours. Optional notifications tell you in the morning what to expect and when the sun comes back; the Energy Coach plans the week with you on Sunday evening.

Home charger support: Alfen, Easee, Fronius Wattpilot, go-e, NRGkick, SMA, Wallbox Pulsar Plus and Zaptec charge any electric vehicle with your own green energy.

Dynamic charging: SolarDashboard adjusts the charging power and, where supported, the number of phases to the available surplus.

EV integration: Audi, Skoda and Seat/Cupra vehicles can be started directly. Your rules: minimum battery level, minimum solar power, charging limits and the order in which your devices share the surplus.

How does it work?
Download the app and sign in with the account of your inverter or battery manufacturer (e.g. SolarEdge). SolarDashboard shows production, consumption and battery, calculates the forecast for your location and the Insights from your data. Connect your wallbox, EV, heat pump or HomeKit devices and SolarDashboard uses the solar surplus to run them. That's it.
What does SolarDashboard cost?
The dashboard, the forecast for today and tomorrow, the Insights of the current week, the Apple Watch app and the device setup are free. SolarDashboard Pro unlocks automatic charging and switching with surplus, hot water from the sun, forecast notifications and the Energy Coach, the forecast for the days after tomorrow, Insights for months and years, savings, battery and consumption analyses. Pro is a monthly subscription through the App Store that can be cancelled at any time. Prices vary by country and are shown in the app.
What does the Apple Watch app show, and does it need the iPhone?
The rings show the current solar power, consumption and battery level of your plant; further pages show the energy of today, this week, this month and this year. Complications bring the values to your watch face. The watch receives its data from the iPhone app, so the iPhone must be signed in; no credentials are stored on the watch. Pull down to request fresh values.
Where does the solar forecast come from?
SolarDashboard requests the weather forecast (solar radiation, cloud cover, temperature) for the location of your plant from Open-Meteo and converts it into kilowatt-hours using the peak power of your system. Only the rounded coordinates of the plant are sent; your plant's data stays on your device. Pro also shows how well the forecast matched your actual yield.
Does SolarDashboard send my data to an AI service?
No. On devices with Apple Intelligence, recommendations and briefings can be phrased by Apple's on-device language model. Nothing leaves your device for this; on other devices you get the same facts in the app's own wording.
Does the app need to run in the foreground?
The surplus automation works best when the app is open, for example on an older iPad on the wall or on a Mac that stays awake. In the background, iOS updates the app roughly every 20 to 30 minutes; the exact interval is controlled by Apple. The forecast, the notifications and the Energy Coach work without the app being open.
Which Apple devices does SolarDashboard support?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later, Mac with macOS 14 or later and Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later. One purchase of Pro covers all your devices signed in with the same Apple Account.
Which heat pumps are supported?
Viessmann (ViCare), Vaillant (myVAILLANT) and Stiebel Eltron (ISG in the home network). SolarDashboard switches the hot water tank to heat with surplus or in the sunniest hours of the forecast; a one-time charge is free, the automatic control is a Pro feature.
Can I set a battery level that is always charged even without sun?
Yes. For EVs and wallboxes you can define a minimum charge level, a minimum solar power before charging starts, the charging power and the limit for the home battery. The home battery can be given priority over your devices.
How are third-party usernames and passwords handled?
Usernames and passwords are not stored. Only the access tokens are stored encrypted in the keychain of your device. Signing out deletes them.
How can I connect Shelly or Home Assistant devices?
Shelly devices work via Matter or with the HomeKit firmware. Home Assistant can expose any switch through its HomeKit bridge; SolarDashboard then controls it like any HomeKit device. See Home Assistant HomeKit Bridge.
